I recently got the opportunity to spend a day out shooting with Jazz and Lindy extraordinaire, Katie Cobalt. This gal is the bomb, seriously.

I really want to better my skills in posed, portrait shoots. I love my documentary/candid style but I feel like this is an area where I could really improve as a photographer. I’ve always found it hard, so I jumped at the opportunity to work with someone who is so versed in choreography and could help me in the creative process of creating some wicked shapes in images.

I learnt so much from Katie on this day, particularly about lines in dance. It was great to collaborate and have her immense dance knowledge to input on these images. Here are a few of my favourites from the day. Can’t wait to work with this gal again in the future!
