I captured a lot on film over 2020. I don’t photograph a lot (any) of my personal life using a digital camera. I almost exclusively use film to capture images of my loved ones and the mundane.
One of the joys of film is having no idea what the contents of it is before you get it developed. These rolls of film had been lurking in my camera for almost a year, and I completely forgot what a high percentage of the images I shot were of my nearest and dearest during staycations, outdoor beverages, and long-overdue catch ups. It put a huge smile on my face to see these rare and cherished moments of lockdown socialisation immortalised in a dreamy grain.
