2016 In Review

2016 has been one of the most important years of my life and it’s seen so much change and I’ve hit so many life milestones. Looking back, I can’t really comprehend what’s happened this year and how many twists and turns my life has encountered. It staggered me to look back at these and really see what’s hit me this year, so here’s a few highlights from the past twelve months.

I kicked off the new year with a bunch of friends from camp in Dublin!

I spent a lot of time dancing with the wonderful “All About Swing” in Birmingham.

I interviewed a LOT of people who wanted to go to camp in the states and worked for a company that I really, really cared about. It was awesome to travel to different universities and talk about something that changed my life and shaped who I am today.

I made the excruciatingly difficult decision not to go back to this beautiful place for the summer.
Wrote a dissertation!
I joined a dance troupe and performed in front of thousands of people at the International Dance Festival with these wonderful people.

Left University after four crazy years.

Moved about 100 miles to Peterborough…

Started working at Bauer Media for Practical Photography magazine.

I graduated with a 2:1 in English Language in July.

Actually started to like landscape photography (a bit).
Joined Cambridge Lindy Hoppers.
Got to attend one of the largest photographic conferences in the world.
Went to a LOT of lindy hop events!
Discovered CrossFit.
Lost a LOT of weight (thanks CrossFit).
Quit my job and started planning the next adventure in Manchester.
I’d have never believed anyone if they’d told me what I’d achieve this year. Looking back to last January I feel like a different person. It’s insane what can happen in 12 months. So, onto the next 12?
